No one will be lost because of their Sins
but because they would not surrender, repent
and accept what Jesus has done for them.

As our Faith and Trust in God grows
Trials become greater,
But easier and easier to bear.

Faith Begins-- When What We Know Ends.

When the path before us goes dark,
and we have no idea where our next step will take us,
that is when it takes faith to step forward into the darkness
not knowing where our foot will land--
And if there is nothing there,
trusting that God will teach us to fly!

It doesn't take faith to believe God can provide for our needs
when we know how those needs will be taken care of.

Without a Test...There is No Testimony!

Christianity Is Not For Sissies!

The decisions we make today create the people we will be tomorrow.

---A right decision leads to another right decision while a wrong decision leads to more wrong decisions.

---Character is the only thing we can take to Heaven. It is developed not in a day, a week, or a month, but over a lifetime.

---If the character you have developed so far will not gain you an entrance into Heaven, today is the day to begin to develop a character that will gain you that entrance.

---You have no time to lose! Today is the day of salvation. You have no idea how much time you have left-- when your life/probation will end.

---"If in the end you have not chosen Jesus Christ, it will not matter what you have chosen." --Elder Neal A. Maxwell

---Lord, take my heart; for I cannot give it. It is Thy property. Keep it pure, for I cannot keep it for Thee. Save me in spite of myself, my weak, unchristlike self. Mold me, fashion me, raise me into a pure and holy atmosphere, where the rich current of Thy love can flow through my soul. -- Christ's Object Lessons 159

---We are shocked and appalled to see how worldly the world is... what do we expect?
I am waiting for the world to be shocked by Christians being Christ-like.

This site is intended for the individual who is wanting to know what it is to live the Christian life and to encourage the Christian to a higher level of Christian commitment and living.

Why Me?!

When something 'bad' happens and we feel like asking,
Why Me?!

Why not Me?

Who do we think we are, anyway? We think that we deserve more privileges than the rest of mankind. What makes us more deserving than the thousands of others who experience far worse?

---"It should fill us with joy, that infinite wisdom guides the affairs of the world. Many of its events are shrouded in darkness and mystery, and inextricable confusion sometimes seems to reign. Often wickedness prevails, and God seems to have forgotten the creatures that he has made. Our own path through life is dark and devious, and beset with difficulties and dangers. How full of consolation is the doctrine, that infinite wisdom directs every event, brings order out of confusion, and light out of darkness, and, to those who love God, causes all things, whatever be their present aspect and apparent tendency, to work together for good." -- Dagg

Are You Prepared?

"Before His crucifixion the Saviour explained to His disciples that He was to be put to death and to rise again from the tomb, and angels were present to impress His words on minds and hearts. But the disciples were looking for temporal deliverance from the Roman yoke, and they could not tolerate the thought that He in whom all their hopes centered should suffer an ignominious death. The words which they needed to remember were banished from their minds; and when the time of trial came, it found them unprepared. The death of Jesus as fully destroyed their hopes as if He had not forewarned them. So in the prophecies the future is opened before us as plainly as it was opened to the disciples by the words of Christ. The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly presented. But multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready.

When God sends to men warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven, He requires every person endowed with reasoning powers to heed the message. The fearful judgments denounced against the worship of the beast and his image (Revelation 14:9-11), should lead all to a diligent study of the prophecies to learn what the mark of the beast is, and how they are to avoid receiving it. But the masses of the people turn away their ears from hearing the truth and are turned unto fables. The apostle Paul declared, looking down to the last days: "The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine." 2 Timothy 4:3. That time has fully come. The multitudes do not want Bible truth, because it interferes with the desires of the sinful, world-loving heart; and Satan supplies the deceptions which they love.

But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority--not one nor all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain "Thus saith the Lord" in its support." The Great Controversy p. 594

There are many who are at ease, who are, as it were, asleep. They say, "If prophecy has foretold the enforcement of Sunday observance, the law will surely be enacted;" and having come to this conclusion, they sit down in calm expectation of the event, comforting themselves with the thought that God will protect his people in the day of trouble. But God will not save us if we make no effort to do the work he has committed to our charge. We must be found faithfully guarding the outposts, watching as vigilant soldiers, lest Satan shall gain an advantage which it is our duty to prevent. We should diligently study the word of God, and pray in faith that God will restrain the powers of darkness; for as yet the message has gone to comparatively few, and the world is to be lightened with its glory. The present truth--the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus--has not yet been sounded as it must be. There are many almost within the shadow of our own doors, for whose salvation no personal effort has ever been made. We are not prepared for the time when our work must close. We must take a firm stand that we will not reverence the first day of the week as the Sabbath, for it is not the day that was blessed and sanctified by Jehovah, and in reverencing Sunday we should place ourselves on the side of the great deceiver. The controversy for the Sabbath will open the subject to the people, and an opportunity will be given that the claims of the genuine Sabbath may be presented. Blindness, disloyalty to God, so prevails that his law is made void, but the psalmist says of such a condition, "It is time for thee, Lord, to work; for they have made void thy law." {RH, December 24, 1889 par. 3}
