Sounds harsh for someone to say, 'I refuse to trust God' doesn't it? But do we refuse to trust God without really realizing it?
Is God trustworthy? Can God be trusted explicitly with every aspect of our lives? Does God want us to trust Him with every aspect of our lives? Is there anything that God is not completely trustworthy with?
If you have any faith in God at all, I am certain that you answered Yes, to the first three questions and a resounding NO, to the last question.
But, do YOU trust God with every aspect of your life? Do you realize that if you don't you are actually refusing to trust God? That's right, if you believe that God is trustworthy, but you are withholding any area of your life from His control, you are actually refusing to trust God.
Think about it. If you believe that God is trustworthy but won't trust Him with everything in your life, aren't you in reality refusing to trust Him? You are choosing not to trust Him, which is refusing to trust Him. If you won't trust Him with everything, I would question whether you trust Him at all.
There is no such thing as being somewhat trustworthy. God is either completely trustworthy or He isn't trustworthy at all. If we say that we believe that God is trustworthy then we aught to trust Him with every aspect of our lives or we had better stop saying that we believe that He is trustworthy.
If you don't trust God, who do you trust? Who can be more worthy of our trust?
